People as the Source of Business Agility

Successful Agile businesses such as Spotify and Netflix have become the example for those on a business agility journey. The secret ingredient they all share… people… more specifically, a mission built around people.

The Agile Manifesto states we value individuals and interactions over processes and tools. So how come we are all so focused on exploring the best tools and most efficient processes? Having supported multiple companies through their Agile journey, I want to challenge Agile leaders to focus more on the people aspect, especially considering it is the number one Agile value. This presentation explores the business value of “leading with people” – why, how and results. It builds on the concept of servant leadership and constructs an environment where people are at the center of everything you do.
